When you talk to our clients and our own team they will all tell you that it’s the people at Grass Roots that make the company what it is. Here are the views about working at Grass Roots from some of our team.

Kim Yorke - Project Manager
I previously worked for Grass Roots for 2 years as a Project Coordinator, I then left to go travelling for a year, and when I arrived back and was offered the opportunity to come back to Grass Roots, I didn’t give it a second thought! It’s a fun place to be, the people are great, and they give me fantastic support to further my career.

Ainsley Procter - Group Operations Manager, Grass Roots France
I have been at Grass Roots for over 10 years now. I started as a Project Executive and have been promoted and supported to my current role as Group Operations Manager, Automotive. I have been fortunate to spend time managing Participant Care and Aviation; a Pharmaceutical account for over 2 years, as well as managing a number of large automotive events (the largest being for 15,000 delegates). I have worked with great colleagues along the way which have made every challenge fun and enjoyable - I wouldn’t still be here otherwise!

Monique Walker - Business Improvement Manager
I joined Grass Roots in 2000 as a Project Coordinator in Project Support and worked my way up through the ranks to Senior Administrator, Deputy Team Leader, Project Leader and finally, Group Project Manager. After working at Grass Roots for 5 years I went on maternity leave after having twins in 2006.

I had been away for almost a year when I was offered the opportunity to come back part-time - which was fantastic! I now work 2.5 days a week as a Group Project Manager and am mum for the rest of the time. Grass Roots have been hugely supportive and flexible with me as a parent and throughout my career - so it has all worked out great!

Lisa McKenzie - Group Operations Manager
I have worked at Grass Roots for over 18 years with a variety of roles across Operations and Project Management. Having started as an Administrator I worked my way through operational roles before moving into Project Management. Grass Roots is good at recognising and fostering transferable skills and I always seem to be learning new things and facing new challenges, which is why I’ve stayed so long!

Andrew Sanderson - Facilities Manager
When I joined Grass Roots 14 years ago, little did I realise that I would end up where I am today. I joined Grass Roots as the Computer Network Manager in 1994, just as the company was expanding into other buildings and locations in the South. In 1998 I was asked to put together a Facilities Team to look after the property portfolio and I have been in this role ever since. It’s terrific to work for a company that really cares about the people that work for them, as we are constantly working on projects to improve the facilities offered to the staff.
